After professional hair tools brand Cloud Nine launched their search for twelve talented hairdressers to join their London Fashion Week Styling Team, the entries started flooding in reminding us all why the UK is at among the top in the industry when it comes to hair.
With a prestigious place creating the catwalk looks for Australian Fashion House sass & bide on the line, it was down to Cloud Nine UK Salon Director Ben Waring as well as judges made up from award-winning Leigh Keates (Josh Wood Atelier), session stylist Angel Montague Sayers and our very own Bree Davie (Hampstead Director and part of the Trevor Sorbie Art Team) to cut the talent down to just 12.
After a hard days decision-making and several stages of elimination, the final twelve stylists that will make up the Cloud Nine London Fashion Week Styling Team are (in no particular order):
Melanie Jefferson – SaVvy Salon, Cumbria
James Earnshaw – Francesco Group, Birmingham
Simon Tuckwell – Sutherland & Barnett, Nottingham
Danny Murray – Murray & Murray Hair, Rochdale
Casey Coleman – Ocean Hairdressing, Cardiff
Alex Gardiner – Escapades Salon, Moira
Anna McArdle – Michael Van Clarke, London
Ky Wilson – Daniel Gray salon, Kendal
Ferne Baker – Sally Montague, Derby
Jayne Alison – De Lacy Spa, Hull
Nicola Richards – West Row Hairdressing, Wetherby
Sarah Chambers – Nicholas Graham Concept Salon, Northern Ireland
The twelve lucky winners will now join judges and seasoned stylists Leigh Keates, Bree Davie and Angel Montague Sayers, to form the Cloud Nine Styling Team, headed up by Cloud Nine Australia Creative Director Renya Xydis. The finalists will see their creations strut down the sass & bide runway on Friday 14th September, signifying the first day in London Fashion Week.
