This unique course is led by Trevor Sorbie M.B.E., founder of the charity mynewhair. The day takes place in two parts; a communications workshop, and live demonstrations led by Trevor. The communications part of the day will be led by experienced nurses, and experts in supporting vulnerable people. You will learn how to work sympathetically with clients suffering medical hair loss (through chemotherapy and alopecia) and how to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. The demonstrations with Trevor will help you learn how to customise a long and short wig, and he will supervise and assist whilst you practice.
This course is suitable for any qualified stylists’ who are interested in learning the techniques required for customising wigs, and supporting vulnerable people.
You will need to provide your own razors, combs, thinning scissors and cutting scissors when attending this course.
