BREE Salon Director/Senior Group Manager

Originally from Adelaide, Bree moved to London 17 years ago, after watching Trevor on stage in Sydney, and finding him “the most inspirational person I had ever heard speak”. Since joining Trevor Sorbie, Bree has become Salon Director and Co-owner of the Hampstead salon, as well as Salon Development Director for all the salons…and one of the busiest people we know! Bree’s most treasured possession is her passport, and her favourite part of her job is “making my clients feel fantastic, and helping my team achieve their goals and dreams”.

GERALD Director/Assistant Manager

A member of the salon team since the day it opened, Gerald’s favourite part of his job is “making people happy”, and getting to meet lots of different people. He feels proud to be a stylist everyday, but particularly after cutting a wig for someone suffering medical hair loss, a passion that he shares with Trevor. He thinks the bob is the most eternal hair trend, as it “never goes away, just gets reinvented”, and his greatest hair achievement so far was getting to work for Trevor Sorbie.

JAMES Director/Head of Education

James loves making people look their best, and he feels proud to be a hairdresser every time he finishes a cut for a client. Inspired to be a stylist by his mum and dad, the best advice James ever received was “why not try the family business?”. This was clearly excellent advice, as he is now a member of “the best Art Team in the World”, an achievement that he counts as his greatest so far, and Head of Education for the Hampstead team.

SARAH Senior Top Stylist

Sarah has always had a creative nature, and went from admiring editorial images in magazines to becoming a hairdresser herself! She feels proud to be a stylist when she can help her clients – especially when she can bring a smile to people who are going through difficult times. The best career advice she’s ever been given is “do whatever you do to the best of your ability, and surround yourself with positive people”.

TOM Top Stylist

Tom’s first experience of cutting hair was clipping both his brother’s and his own hair “very badly I have to add”, which gave him an inkling that he might enjoy hairdressing. He was more than right, and absolutely loves meeting new people, and getting to work in a talented, creative team. Tom is also busy outside of the salon, working backstage at fashion week shows and shoots, something he would love to do more of. His work in the Art Team 2 has also garnered him attention from both Trevor and the industry.

JOEL Creative Stylist

Inspired to become a hairdresser as he wanted to work in the creative industry, Joel’s favourite part of his job is getting to meet new people everyday. His celebrity style icon is David Beckham, as “who doesn’t like Beckham?”, and his favourite trend is anything from the 1990’s. He thinks the Trevor Sorbie Curl Creams are “the best on the market” and his top career advice would be “forget everybody else, and do your own thing”.

Born in France but raised in London, Cynthia has always been attracted to the creativity of hairdressing. The proudest moment of her career so far was “finishing my training at Trevor Sorbie and becoming a stylist”. Her favourite part of her job is making a difference to someone’s day, and her hopes for the future are to keep on learning and developing her craft. The best career advice she’s ever received is “never give up”.

MATTIA Stylist

Originally from Venice, Mattia was inspired to become a hairdresser “by the way you can make art through hair”. His proudest moment was passing his final test with Trevor, which was also the last time he describes being star struck! His favourite iconic style is the pin-up look, and his favourite trend is the undercut. His hope for the future is to continue to do things that will make him feel satisfied, and his top career advice is “don’t give up”.

TRAVIS Technical Director

Originally from Sydney, Travis moved to London and joined the Trevor Sorbie team after a colleague back home told him “I just had to when I moved to London”. He was drawn to hairdressing by the creativity it offered, and is proud to have been a finalist twice at the L’Oréal Colour Trophy. His favourite part of his job is seeing a satisfied client, and his hopes for the future are simply “to be the best”. His favourite colour trend is balayage and his style icon would be Kate Moss for her timeless look.

SOPHIE Director (Technical)

Sophie has always been interested in hairdressing, so becoming a colour technician was a natural fit. Her favourite part of working in the salon is “making people feel good about themselves”. Her hopes for the future and to continue working happily at the Hampstead salon, and continuing to make her clients look and feel fantastic.

Camille Senior Technician

Born in a small village near Avignon in the South of France, Camille was inspired to become a hairdresser to connect with many different types of people, with different lifestyles, ambitions and, of course, hair. She enjoys the challenge of carrying out the perfect consultation with each client, and is hoping to grow her career both artistically and as an educator. She like the trend for ‘effortless’ hair, as she hopes it might make people “feel more comfortable if they struggle with their hair”.

Luke Technician

Originally from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Luke joined Trevor Sorbie in 2015 and is a colour technician in the Hampstead salon. Inspired by his childhood hairdresser, he wanted to work for Trevor Sorbie as he believed “the training is one of the best in London”. His favourite colour trend over the years is balayage, and he has a soft spot for ‘frosted tips’ from the 90s, although in his own words “they shouldn’t make a comeback!”
